Writing activities:
This week we are doing a big write. We are writing to Sir David Attenborough to ask him to help us find out more about the creature in the garage (Skellig).
On Monday, we plan our writing using the boxed up plan (see attachments).
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we write our letter. Aim to spend about 20-30 minutes writing each day.
On Friday we edit our writing and redraft a section which we think we could improve.

English Activities
Monday
Watch the video on modal verbs and do the quiz: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zwwp8mn/articles/zps4pbk
Then, identify the modal verbs in these sentences:
- Sometimes they will attack intruders, but they saw that you were with me.
- “Come on!”, she whispered, “you must be quick!”
- I knew that she would be ok, eventually.
- She didn’t move, because she couldn’t.
- “Doctor Death will see you now. He ought to, anyway. You’ve waited long enough.”
- He could have been seen! He might have been seen. What if he had been? What on earth would they think? What might they do?
- You’ll be here for a while yet. You’ll be here for a long, long while yet.
- “You must go back to school eventually,” said Rasputin. “You must know that, surely? You’ve been putting it off for far too long.”
