Sycamore Home Learning during 'Bubble' Closure

A bubble closure will mean that we will revert to home learning for two weeks. A general timetable of lessons available is provided, though it is your choice to do these activities when best suits you and your family. We will provide a mixture of 'live' lessons (vis MS teams or Zoom) and video lessons (via Oak National Academy) as well as the usual online learning the children do regularly- Bug Club, Nessy, Numbots etc.

Please continue to prioritise reading daily with your child. You can use paper books provided, books you have at home and their individual Bug Club account. These can be found at :

We also recommend 20 mins daily on Nessy-

and on Numbots:

Each child has their own log in for these resources, let me know if you need details resent. We also have a bank of stories read by the Sycamore grown ups for the children to listen to any time they choose.

I will email you at the beginning of each week with links to Oak Academy lessons, any printable resources you might need and to arrange timings for when we will do our  daily 'live' lesson. The class TAs will arrange an online meet up to listen to your child read twice per week. They will need their paper book for this (for older children they could also bring a favourite book from home which they can read comfortably).

Every Friday we will have a whole class 'check in' session where the children and adults can all say hello and share their news. I will be available over email throughout so please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries. We will also phone you once per week (or more often if requested).
