Sycamore Home Learning during 'Bubble' Closure

A bubble closure will mean that we will revert to home learning for two weeks.  We will provide a mixture of 'live' lessons (via MS teams ) and video lessons (via Oak National Academy) as well as the usual online learning the children do regularly- Bug Club, Nessy, Numbots etc. The children will also have pencil and paper activities to complete either on their own or with some adult support. All TEAMs lessons will be timetabled (see above) and I will email you to let you know which group your child is in.

Please continue to prioritise reading daily with your child. You can use paper books provided, books you have at home and their individual Bug Club account. These can be found at :

We also recommend 20 mins daily on Nessy-

and on Numbots:

Each child has their own log in for these resources, let me know if you need details resent. We also have a bank of stories read by the Sycamore grown ups for the children to listen to any time they choose.

I will email you at the beginning of each week with links to Oak Academy lessons, any printable resources you might need and to confirm timings for when we will do our  daily 'live' lessons. The class TAs will arrange an online meet up to listen to your child read. They will need their paper book for this (for older children they could also bring a favourite book from home which they can read comfortably).

Every morning we will have a whole class 'check in' session where the children and adults can all say hello and share their news. I will be available over email throughout so please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries. We will also phone you once per week (or more often if requested) to see how the children are doing.
