Y6 visit London

As part of their end of term celebrations and to mark the end of their time with us, Year 6 headed to London on Wednesday for a fun packed day.

Their first stop was the science museum where they had the opportunity to explore some of the interactive exhibits on offer.  Highlights included the history of flight and the future of food.  It was a busy day at the museum with a guide commenting to another visitor that there were 3000 school children in the museum that day!

Next up the children’s stamina was put to the test as they walked through Hyde Park and embarked on a tour of the major landmarks, stopping for photos at Buckingham Palace and Marble Arch amongst others.

Following lunch in the park they headed to the theatre in Covent Garden to watch the Lion King.  Their behaviour throughout the trip and at the theatre was exceptional and the staff who went were full of praise.

14 hours after leaving school they got back tired, but full of memories that will last a lifetime.  Thank you to the staff who gave their time to make this possible.
